Cod Story is an environmental documentary that asks questions about our relationship with nature and natural resources through the case study of the 1992 cod fisheries collapse in Newfoundland and Labrador.
I had the privilege of being an editor for this documentary. Through the process I grew in appreciation for those in the fishing industries, and what the events that happened in 1992 caused for so many. Our goal for this film is to shine a light on this topic, and inspire others to not only take away its messages, but to help be a part of the change we can create, and are creating today.
I was asked to create the film’s trailer, which has been submitted to multiple film festivals around the world.
Cod Story is an official selection of Forest City Film Festival, Wildlife Conservation Film Festival, Lunenburg Doc Fest, and Hawaii International Film Festival.

Manila Envelope is a short drama that follows Lois, a high school student with a desire to flee her suburban hometown for her dream school in the glamorous city. Lois’ protective mother Ruth hopes Lois studies at a college in their local town, but Lois has different ideas. Against her mother’s wish, she applies to her dream art school in secret.

Vasya’s New
SHORT FILM (2020)
Roles: Director, Producer
I directed and co-produced this short film and worked with a crew of 15 to bring this project to life. This was a part of a student project yet ended up being a project my core team and I all became surprised at and are all proud to have completed it when we did in the winter months despite many setbacks that could have stopped us.
This experience helped me gain an appreciation for the hours and extended times film crews and actors goes through and has helped prepare me for the projects I do in the future.
